Infosys Successfully Concludes Annual Technology Fest Techzooka 2019

Pune – January 06, 2020:Infosys recently concluded the 10th edition of its annual weeklong technology fest, Techzooka 2019. This year, Infosys’ Techzooka was themed around digital strategies, digitalization and continuous learning. The event comprised of several digital experiences, which were focused on utilizing proven conventional and innovative delivery modes and platforms.

As part of the annual fest, Infosys’ Pune Development Center (DC) collaborated with NASSCOM for knowledge sharing sessions on the latest developments in tech industry and academia research. The informative sessions were hosted by over 50 professors from different engineering institutes, across Maharashtra. Techzooka 2019 also witnessed DC extend invitations to tech startups to showcase their stories as part of the Technovate Start Up Conclave. Blockster Labs was conferred the best presentation award out of a total of eight startups.

One of the major highlights of the fest was the cybersecurity theme for Hacker Factory Hackathon that had real-life problem statements that was organized to support Maharashtra PCMC Cyber Security Police in solving issues in collaboration with ISG. The teams comprised of Infoscians and students from various colleges across Maharashtra. The participants were given six real problem statements and top six teams had the opportunity to showcase their solutions to Mr. Sudhakar Kate, Senior Inspector (Cyber Cell) at the Grand Finale.

Other activities included an inter corporate quiz competition called the TechWit, which got enthusiastic response from industry peers, startups and clients. Corporates across Pune participated in the competition and after an elimination round, top six teams battled it out in a gripping 1.5-hour long finale conducted by Infoscion and the former Brand Equity Quiz winner Shrirang Raddi. Talentica (Gokul Sudhakaran and Vicky Singh) were declared the winners of the competition, followed by Arcubus (Kunal Sawardekar and Avaneendra Bhargava) and BNY Mellon (Kapinjal Chowdhury and Rakesh Pandey).
